As for this years Tutti.. i would say that its a special year. U see people have been very ignorant about Sir Jean Henry Dunant, his vision, the book he wrote and the results of his humble idea, the RED CROSS RED CRESCENT Movemment around the world.
All this u see with RC came from a humble love for mankind.
We come from different culture, color, believes differences of opinion and what not. But this man focused on the centre of humanity and saw the resemblance. We are all human. We are built the same, there is no way people can deny the fact that we are related to one and another.
Forces in the world brings upon many bad things, but Dunant created something that heals the worlds from its destruction. And one of its core values is " Tutti Fratelli" which means "All Men Are Brothers" " Semua Insan Bersaudara".
Many of our own leaders don't know this. Coz they don't read the book, Shree and his exco back in 1995 must have read the book sometime in their excoship, to find that phrase which caught their eyes and they based it to their idea for a camp. One officer from the state thought that we named the camp based on a chewing gum "Tutti Fruity" and he said "Apa punya nama.... tak der nama lain kah? " We looked at him and we all thought "Derrr.rr...."
Kem Tutti Fratelli has achieved in the last 12 years, more than any camps that has been organised in Malaysia... Its track record , consistancy, effort put in by the organizer, the disipline and sacrifice produced a chance to teach our youth the meaning of humanity.
Besides all that u learn from Tutti, my heart jump up in joy when I see unity among the members. The theme song , the Sudirman's song, the tear on the last day and the friendship we build are some of the hidden treasures of Camp Tutti Fratelli.
Getting back to ur question, this year when i say Tutti is special is because its TFi. Kem Tutti Fratelli International. We are going to share what we have build to the rest of the world. My hopes and dreams are... with Gods blessing, we are succesfull with our first TFi and may we plant the idea in the hearts of our international participant to organise a TFi in their own country. And may a day come that TFi is held all over the world on the same dates with the biggest number of youth exchange happening at any one time. Then we would have full filled Sir Jeans quest to tell the world " Tutti Fratelli" "All Men Are Brothers" " Semua Insan Bersaudara".
So if u are filling up a form to attent TFi 2007, consider yourself the luckiest person in the whole wide world... : ) Cheers
