RC Klang--Myth,Legend or Reality??
Are we indeed the best? Are we really famous and recognized as a force to be reckoned with? Have we really trained and instilled core values of volunteerism and humanity in our members?
Who are we? Where do we come from? What is the past,present and future of our beloved society?
Lets look at our history to understand our future! Follow us through this journey of reminiscence and discovery!!
RC Klang--The Beginning!~
Our team of researches can obtain traces of the society started in Klang as far back as 1951. From our sources,we gather that RC Klang was initially started off by VAD 10, a small group of volunteers with noble intentions.
From a small group of volunteers, MRCS Chapter Klang has now expanded to a full fledged chapter consisting of a strong membership base on 10000 members from VAD's,Youth and Link.
From the 50's to the early 70's,not many records or data could be gathered. It will forever remain a mystery of yesteryears.
The starting point of progress and development of RC Klang started in 1972. It is better known as THE GOLDEN ERA. Spearheaded by 4 young and energetic gentlemen, they started creating waves and formed the core values and principles of the society today.
-Mr. Ramanathan : Honorary Secreatary
-Mr.C.Venukopalan : Officer In Charge of Youth
-Mr. Manogaran : Officer In Charge of Youth
-Mr. Balakrishnan : Officer In Charge of VAD

Salute to our Great Leaders of the Golden Era.. its unfortunate that I have never met Mr. Ramanathan and Mr. Manogaran. But Mr. Venukopalan and Mr.Balakrishnan i know very well. Thank you Sir.. for what you started we now carry the flag.
Sir Venu thought me something very important that i have seen come thru in my years with MRCS Klang.
Non other the THREE G's.
First G = Girl or Guy
Second G = Glory or Glamour
Third G = Gold or Monitory Gain
These THREE G's will make a RC leader fall or fail if practiced.
I tot he was joking. He wasn't!!
1) If a leader becomes a leader bcoz he/she is interested in the opposite sex and wishes to use his/her leadership power to gain the gal or guy, he/she might succeed.... but the leader will fall or fail his/her duties as a MRCS leader, and be forgotten.
2) If a leader becomes a leader bcoz he/she feels its glamorous to be a MRCS leader and does every thing and anything based on getting glorified, he may get some glory but his/her work will loose it value in the end and he/she will be forgotten.
3) If a leader becomes a leader bcoz he/she feels that by being an MRCS leader he/she can make money from the society and gain wealth he/she may not succeed and he/she will definitely be forgotten.
I have seen leaders as such fall, if i mentioned their name, you would not even know who he/she is.
Hope none of us choose this path.
I love u MRCS Klang, u thought me, u mold me to what i am today.
